Without any delay she snapped her free hand to his lips, only putting slight pressure against them. She shook her head briskly and re-positioned herself, at the tip of her toes once again. She pulled Louise closer, a little too easily than expected. In result she had accidentally brushed her lips against his tensed neck. She paused for a moment, authentically embarrassed, and softly whispered, "I'm genuinely curious." she spoke swiftly, letting a dash of spontaneity shine through.

Oh gosh, I so torn between whether to sleep or stay awake at this point. It's almost 4am over here, aha! I must say.. You really know how to make a roleplay fun! (:

I'm afraid I'm going to have to call it a night. *siiiiiiigh*

She stood motionless for a moment, guilt spreading across her face. It was obvious that she was weighing the possibilities in her mind. She turned her head to the side, conscience-stricken, while watching Ash in the corner of her eye.

Ash had made his way to yet another group of unfamiliar vampires, exchanging irrelevant stories that neither sides of the party payed full attention to. Nonetheless; he looked rather entertained, and best of all.. Distracted.

Jade slowly turned her gaze back to Louise, shaking her head generously. She swatted the air as if shooing away any uncertain second guesses. She avoided stepping too close to his frame as she whispered, "It's p-probably best he d-doesn't.. know."

Jade began to nonchalantly gaze around the room as if looking for a lost item. Her eyes flickered from side to side as she heightened herself, attempting to see above some of the taller vampires. She made a little hop-skip in the air, lifting herself a few inches from the ground momentarily. With a proud grin dappled onto her face, she turned back towards Louise, anxiously grabbing at the sleeve of his dilapidated shirt. She tugged at him delicately, motioning him to follow her. Lacing her fingers with his.

As they weeded themselves from the crammed ballroom, she turned back flashing him a quick smile until- SMACK!

An instant of sudden immobility struck; her small body was swallowed into Ash's broad chest. Her light grasp on Louise's hand unlaced as Ash pulled in furthermore into his grasp. Nearly lifting her completely from the polychromatic floor, he carefully raised her a few feet up- her small black shoes sliding away from under her feet. She looked up at the man, eyes wide and confused. They looked as if they were about to preform an exquisite ballet.
"Ohh.. Jade.." he said in a gentle tone, "Where are you and puppy-boy running off to so eagerly?" He grinned and smoothly placed her to the ground. She anxiously bent over to shuffle her shoes back onto her feet. Stammering up, she threw her arms to her sides, shooting him an exasperated scowl.
He looked rather pleased with himself, one side of his mouth curling into a devilish grin. Jade attempted to throw her hand atop his shoulder, however missed completely, only capable of reaching his chest.
He charitably leaned over, hunching his shoulders low enough to touch his nose to her forehead. Her eyes shot up, they read, "Damn you."

She tugged the collar of his coat, pulling him inwards. For a moment, half of her face way engulfed by his; as she whispered sweet explanations into his ear.

She released him from her unexpectedly firm grasp, replacing herself next to Louise. As he fixed his posture, a coy smile appeared.
"You.. kids be good." he said while slipping away into the crowd, chuckling a hearty laugh until the many sounds drowned his voice completely.

Jade looked at Louise with a kittenish smirk, shrugging her shoulders innocently.

Jade shook her head shyly from side to side, blonde strands falling to the front of her face. A rather bothersome hair tickled the end of her upturned noise, making her instantly cross her eyes. She smacked her lips, blowing a gust of air through the side of her ajar mouth. The pesky strand fluttered upwards, and for a split second was out of her face. As she began to move her lips, the strand softly trickled back down to the center of her nose.

It was intangible to believe Jade was such an antiqued soul. De facto, she was 488 years old, making her one of the eldest vampires in the massive Gothic mansion.

It had seemed to be she never actually aged the moment she was sired many, many centuries ago. Her innocence and doll-like nature was bottled tightly, which was probably a considerable blessing. She scooted closer to Louise, leaning her head against his shoulder. "I told him you, 'wanted to get some fresh air.'" She looked up at him, still pressing her cold cheek against his arm. She tried to mask a serious face, but a soft giggle burst from her throat.

While pulling away from her abnormal closeness, she nodded her head in agreement.
"No, we can't rob anyone here." she answered without actually hearing a question.
That was something Jade considered a 'special technique.' Being a mime for countless years, she had the ability to read facial expressions and bodily gestures extremely clearly. Even something as simple as a quick self criticizing glance.

She choked back, realizing she had yet again spoken... She timidly shook her head again, leaning against the staircase rail.

Jade descended up the staircase carefully placing one foot in-front of the other. She was a very graceful creature, gliding along the 'too many to count' steps. She listened very intently when Louise spoke, even if it was just a quick phrase, nod of the head, or even a simple, "Yes."
Her eyes seemed to have lit up every-time the young vampire spoke.

The simplest explanation would be cupid's wicked spell of infatuation.

Jade ignored the few vampires that scattered across the much smaller room. There was an everlasting hallway to the left, and a few mosaic glass doors to the right. She simply gestured her head to the side-, elegantly strolling to her left. She acted as if she owned the place, head held high, eyes soft and relaxed.

She glanced at Louise giving him a quick wink.


The hall indeed felt ever-lasting, the checkered floors seemed to hypnotize those brave enough to walk it. Jade couldn't help but feel a sudden dizzy spell; losing her graceful posture. Her foot slid to the side, she stumbled a bit, catching herself against the wall.

She immediately sensed.. Guests were not welcome here.

Louise ran the tip of his tongue against the back of his teeth, frowning thoughtfully. Jade’s personality had taken a dramatic turn from the frightened girl he had seen in the hallway, to this- one could almost see her feathers as she strutted away like an exotic bird. It was certainly not an undesirably change.

His lips quirked, and he had to jog to catch up with her.

“This place gives me the creeps. I couldn’t stand living in this kind of. . prison for all my after life,” Louise looked at the horrible stained stone walls and gaudy pillars. The only pretty sight was out the windows. And the vampire next to him of course.
Soon boredom took hold. The hallway was ridiculously long. Why would someone build a place like- a sharp pain shot around the back of his head, made him falter. Not as badly as Jade though. The throb was bearably, him having dealt with much worse pain out in the wilderness. Gangrel were made more durable than Toreador it seemed.

“Jade! A-are you okay?” he gasped, concern flooding him. Reaching her side, he put his hands on her shoulders and eased her up right. “Do you need to lean on me? Ow,” he flicked his head in irritation as another spike of pain hit him. “Looks like we’re in the right place.”

She could feel the lids of her eyes slowly weigh down. Her mind felt as if a melancholy cloud had engulfed her completely. She brought her shaken hands together, holding herself in comfort. She pushed her back against the barren stone walls, slowly sinking downwards.

Her mouth hung slightly agape, eyes beginning to cast a storm of rain. The gentle drops rolled down her porcelain face, landing into a newly found puddle in the cusp of her garnet stained dress. Voices. Voices were in here head. Mocking her.

You shouldn't speak child. The sensitive ears of mankind can not stand such terrible voice. No one will listen, so do not speak. Ever.

The ridiculing voice continued to taunt her thoughts, drowning all other sound. Jade slid completely to the cold ground, wrapping her arms around her knees- gently rocking back and forth. Her expression was twisted with fear and anguish. After the dragged out moments of mental torture, she began to cover her ears, resting her forehead against her feeble kneecaps.




Sharp mumbles began to appear at the end of the hallway. Several shadowy frames stood visibly in a tight row. Their heads were turned to the side, facing each-other.
Luckily for the two eavesdroppers, the group were in a fulfilling conversation, holding their attention completely.

Disastrously, the shadow-figures began making the way down they hallway. "Perhaps this should be furthermore discussed in my office." the extravagant voice suggested.

Sebastian Lacroix kissed the palm of his angelic accomplice, escorting her and her companion down the hallway.

What was wrong with her? It looked like someone had kneed her in the stomach, as she crumpled to the ground and started to rock in an act of reassurance. Louise had seen many furry tailed critters act the same way when their young had been killed.
“Jade, Jade!” Louise tried to keep his hysterical plea no more than a probing hiss. Because suddenly his nose was telling him someone was coming. Many someones.

Terror filling him, Louise’s head wiped away from the crying vampire, and his animalistic eyes focused on the group, small smudges at the mouth of the corridor. Oh no. Suddenly the leader turned and started towards them. Oh hell.

Louise suddenly realised who the head vampire was. Sebastian friggen Lacroix. And what was really strange, was that his scent was neutral. How was that even possible?

No time to dwell. “Forgive me, Jade,” he groaned, not wishing to move her while she was in this state, but maybe, maybe if they got out of this hallway, the pain would stop for her. He scanned the useless room. There was no cover- what was the point, the vampire’s would probably sniff them out anyway.

Then- an idea.

A really stupid one, but hey.

“Sorry,” he whispered, then picked Jade up, support the back of her neck and crook of her legs with his arms. Louise dashed over to the window, breeze brushing his hair back. He looked down. Second story drop. To a human, might break a few bones. A vampire, it was like tripping over a stone. “Jade. . if you can hear me I. . uh, I’m going to drop you. From the window. So you’ll be outside. If we both go, the vampire won’t be fooled- they’ll know we were up here and track us down. So. . I’m going to stay up here. Like Ash said, I smell like a dog, so I should cover up your scent. At least you’ll be safe.”

Then he dropped her.

And turned to face the pack of vampires, knowing full well that Lacroix would eat him alive at any second.

Lacroix glided down the hallway. His stride was even paced and majestic. Attention still attentively focused on the promiscuous woman that obediently followed him like a dog on a leash, he suddenly made an abrupt halt, making a ' stop ' motion with his free hand.

"My dear, would you excuse me?" he moaned under his breath. He pulled the woman around, romantically dragging his lips seductively across her neck. Mortal fool.
"Isabella, would you be so kind to escort Miss. Blake to my office?" He spoke in such an artificial tone, it even made his dear Isabella cringe with utter disgust. The beautiful business looking woman rolled her eyes slowly while waving her arm infront of herself, motioning the moronic naive human to follow.

The two women strode down the hallway, Louise in full distinct view. Isabella simply nodded her head from side to side giving him a sympathetic scowl. They swiftly brushed past him, disappearing into another maze like hallway.

Lacroix folded his arms across his chest, taking long heavy steps in circles. His face read total disgust, nose completely cringed.
"Have you seen any other mutts around these premises? No? No?... No? he voice grew louder and more irritable at the final 'No'.
"Do you know what I could to do you- you dirty blooded creature?" he voice was harsh,- spit involuntarily spraying from his snake like tongue.

Lacroix marched to Louise's still body, throwing his hand tightly around the boy's neck. His grasp intensifying every second.
"I....could...kill.. you.." he hissed loudly.

His slicked back blonde hair began to flake out of place due to the vigorous bodily gestures. He vainly creased the fallen strands back into place with his free hand.

As if Lacroix had just been literally smacked in the face, his jaw dropped low enough to touch the checkered tiled floor. A sudden screech of pain and bewilderment lunged out from is lungs, eyes wide and dilated. He flicked his wrist away, holding it tightly against his tensed upper stomach.
He began heaving his chest up and down, completely exaggerating his wound. It looked as if he attempted to play off a role of hyperventilation.
"You'll pay for this!" He spat, spinning from side to side- shaking his head furiously. The man who looked as if he were in his mid 20's, beheld the image of a four year child throwing a fit of anger and frustration.

He fumed for several moments, unsure of what to do next. As he began to turn back towards Louise, a flash of darkness shoved the Gangrel's small body away, thrusting him against the wall.


"JUMP!' Ash demanded in a harsh tone. He threw him against the wall, shoving Lacroix across the hallway. The Camarilla leader literally slid across the sickening floor as if sliding down a snowy mountain top. God I wish I had a video camera. Without time to throw a second swing, a group of burly looking vampires came charging down the hallway.
Ash shot back towards Louise, "JUMP, damnit!" he shouted while leaping threw the broken mosaic window. Yikes... that's going to cost a bit.

Before Louise could say a word, Ash was in his face. He grasped fistfuls of fabric around the Gangrel's neckline pulling him off the ground.

"Where is she?!" he cried out frantically, fear lingering in his voice more than anger, "Where's Jade?" he shouted in a louder tone, throwing the boy to the ground.

He began to pace frantically back and forth, shooting upward glances towards the broken mirror. His face pinched into a furious scowl, "Damnit..." he groaned while throwing his arms high above his head. "Ya'know who's mosaic design that was? Grout. Father of Malkavians'." he smacked his face in the the palms of his hands dragging his fingers alongside his lean face.
"Not only do we have the Camarilla pissed at us.. We now have a herd a crazy sons of bitches on our tail. That damned piece of 'art' was created near the same year Gabriel was created." His groaned while throwing his body to the ground. He pulled his knees inward, shaking his head softly.

He let out a long desperate sigh, finally calming down.. kind of.
"More importantly.. Where is my Jade?"

He raised his brows high enough, they practically met with his auburn hairline. His eyes winded at the mere thought of Jade falling to the ground from a two story building.
"You threw her out the damn window!?" he said while jumping to his feet.
"She's only a little girl" he cried out in alarm. Well.. physically.

He jolted from side to side as if playing a game of ping pong with himself. Distraught greeted his face once again only resulting in another sudden mood change. He suddenly froze in place, throwing his hand across his open mouth.
"What if they got her?" he said with fear dancing across his naturally placid voice, "What if... she cut herself, and.. they smelled her blood?" he muttered in shock.

"Check the ground for blood!" Ash instructed while falling to his knees,- patting the soft blades of grass with this palms. He crawled in wide circles, frantically patting the soiled earth for any trace of moistness.

Ash looked up at Louise who stood emotionally perturbed.
"I mean the werewolves." he concluded.

I get so caught up in this roleplay, geesh! Haha!

*Btw, I kind of imagine Louise as a mix of Rupert Grint & Toboe from Wolf's Rain. I duno how much you can imagine a human morphed with an anime character.. but hey! That's what my imagination gave me. xD

Awwwh! Toboe is adorable, tho I'm a huge Hige fan myself ( -face palm- maybe that's where I subconsiously thought of the nose thing. Feels like I'm ripping off every anime now xD; ) now I think of it Lu is kinda like Toboe, being growled at by Ash like Tsume does X3; I love Wolf's Rain. I was thinking more of a cross between Daisuke from DNAngel and Aido from Vampire Knight when I created him. Ooh, Grint, the only redhead out there it seems.

Hmmm. . seems Lu will just go picture-less PX unless I doodle up something.

Louise cringed. “I know I know. I feel bad enough as it is, thanks!”he hissed, but to distracted to worry about his bashed around pride at the moment. It was like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. He didn’t know what was worse. Having left Jade with him to face Lacroix’s wrath, or gone with him still throwing her out the window- oh god, it sounded so horrible when it was spelt out like that.

No! She was a vampire damnit, she could handle a fall. He wasn’t going to view her as some delicate flower like Ash was. Okay, glass was an issue, but vampire skin was made of tougher stuff than that waver thin stuff human’s wore.

As Ash started to crawl around on the ground, Louise was sure the poor guy had finally snapped.

But was reassured when Ash fully explained his actions.

Not bothering to fumble around on the ground, Louise turned towards the trees and inhaled deeply, like he was about to dive into a swimming pool. His nose searched around for freshly spilt blood. Vampire blood had an interesting smell. Not as intoxicating as a humans, it was sort of similar in smelling like copper and acidic acid, but it held a very rotten tang too. The rotten smell was to ward off other vampire’s from drinking off their own kind. It wouldn’t kill you, but it doesn’t taste very nice.

“There,” he said quietly, finally locating his sort out prize. She had been cut, but it hadn’t dropped here. He guessed she must have been disorientated from the fall and recovering from whatever had effected her in the hallway, and stumbled into the forest, brushed against a leaf and left a blood stain there. Damn it all. She was in quite deep.

Instead of feeling smug at his deduction, it filled him with silent dread. He could smell werewolves everywhere. “Ash!” he yelled, not bothering to tell him to come. With speed not surprising of someone so small, Louise took off in a flurry of kicked up leaves. From all his times of running away from werewolves and other hostile vampires, he had quite the sprint on him.

Ash quickly staggered to his feet- launching himself up with his masculine arms. He watched Louise dash away, baffled by his sudden sprint.

"Wh-wait!" He shouted in a gruff tone, astonishment pouring from his lips. He leaped after him fumbling his way into the foggy abyss.



Sasha and Blue sat fuddled in the darkness, golden eyes beaming from the shadows.
"What the hell?" Sasha spat while promptly turning back to his human facade. He remained in a squatted position on all fours.
"Bloody vampires.. and their.. odd behavior." a snarl gurgling in his throat. His cold breath danced into the air, curling around his handsome face.
"I smell blood." Blue interrupted while turning her head towards her brother. Hunger filled her eyes nearly taking over all her senses. A low moan grumbled within the empty pit of her stomach.
"Please brother? Let me hunt it." she moaned while shuffling her body from side-to-side. Sasha locked his eyes within Blue's. Her desperation to feed was obvious and painful to view.

Being the 'lone wolves' they were, it was rare for them to feed on a regular basis. It pained him to see his sister in such a frantic state, especially willingly enough to feed on such a sour meal. He softly sighed while barely nodding his head.
Without any hesitation, Blue jumped away from his side, following Jade's faint scent of bitter vampiric blood.

Sasha cocked his head from side to side like a puppy hearing an odd noise. His mouth had curled into a confused frown, batting his golden eyes feverishly. A low growl rumbled in his stomach as he naturally glanced down.
"Hi, lunch" he mocked in a cruel accent, "Looking for your lost gem?" he sneered while gazing behind the surprised Gangrel. The werewolf had obviously overheard their frantic episode from before. Sasha quickly staggered backgrounds, eyes suddenly widening.

"Ah-Ah-Ahhh!"
Ash slammed up against Louise, waving his arms frantically from side to side. A loud crack echoed across the night sky. Ash stood hunched over, holding his hand across his reddened forehead.

"Damn-it, why'd you stop!?" he hissed violently.
