Honey Hunt Empty
PostSubject: Honey Hunt   Honey Hunt EmptyWed Jan 20, 2010 2:54 am

It was kind of funny that being stung by bees was the last thought on James' mind. Oh to be sure, there were thousands of the little buggers zooming around, stingers tangling in his lion thick fur one even getting him on his soft wolf nose, enraged that he had dared tried to steal their honey.

Well maybe if the honey hadn’t looked so damn tempting, he wouldn’t have tried climb the tree- yes in human form wolves are not cats- stuck his hand inside the tree hole, then been attacked by a vicious mob of yellow and black blobs from hell.

No. He was not concerned about the bees.

He was more focused on the 5 foot, 500 pounds of black grizzly bear snarling down at him.

Looked like somebody had already claimed this spot at their own. James had not wasted his time in human form. As soon as those killer curved claws had touched his legs and ripped from the tree, his true form had exploded out in a rain of human skin and tattered clothes. The half blind wolf had stumbled on the ground, caught off his guard as the bear went from his bad side, picking him off the ground yet again and sent him spiralling into a bush.

Something cracked. James hoped it was the bush and not one of his ribs.

The grizzly roared a challenge at him. Everything about the situation was screaming get out of here you fool. Instead, James stalked back out, fur fluffed out to increase his already large size. He growled right back, revealing his fangs. He kept his face turned to the left, keeping his only eye trained on the bear.

Bear were slow, he told himself. He could easily take the stupid brute down. James tensed, then leapt up at the bear. A massive forepaw, almost as broad as his head came up. The black wolf twisted in the air, just missing the killing swipe. Unfortunately he also missed hitting the bear. His jaws clamped on air. But now his blind side was facing the animal. To slow, something hard punctured his left flank, and he yelped. He slapped back to the ground, blood crisscrossing brilliant patterns on the leaves and dirt of the forest ground.

The bear lunged again, this time determined to not let the wolf get away. James rolled fast, wheezing as his open wound wept angrily. Oh Christ that had hurt. His nipped the bear on the muzzle, then held on for grim life as it roared in pain and rose up to its full, frightening height of five foot. It started to shake his head, trying to dislodge James. Like hell that was happening. Like a bulldog, he refused to let go.

Distressed, the bear slammed it head to the ground, rubbing his skull across the ground. James leapt off before he was crushed.

Both animals stared at each other, both bleeding, both breathing hard. Nobody was going to budge until the other dropped dead.

Dacia strode through the forest with such swiftness that it was difficult for Ivory to keep up. Sure, Ivy was a vampire now, but it was so foreign and new that she could hardly control it. It was hard enough trying not to claw her own sisters face off. Dacia was going through the same burdensome stage, not being able to control her anger. Which, was part of the reason she was stomping through the forest int he first place.

"Dacia, stop!" Ivy called out, trying to keep up with her long strides. Ivy was much shorter then her sister, looking frail and meek compared to the stern, strong look of her twin. She huffed, watching her feet as she tried to maneuver around the various roots sprouting from the soft dirt.

"Would you just stop following me?" Dacia hissed, the muscles on the back of her neck tensing. Her veins throbbed with a burning sensation that she couldn't place. She was afraid to be around her sister, afraid that she would hurt her in some way. Of course, Ivy was consistent and wouldn't leave the situation be, Dacia knew this.

"Why? Would you just stop being so difficult. W-we can get through this," she huffed as she did her best to keep up. She flipped her blond curls from her pale face, letting her cobalt eyes scan the forest for her sister. She caught sight of the familiar brown hair that floated in the win, and set her path.

Dacia came to a halt when she heard the sound of a struggling animal. It peeked her curiosity, causing her head to til to the side. She stood there, listening intently to the sounds of nature. She followed it, not sure what drew her to the situation. Instincts perhaps? The sight of a grizzly bear and a large black wolf came into her sight. She inhaled deeply, letting the sent of a fellow werewolf fill her nose. Great. This wasn't going to end well... not with Ivory here.

Ivory ignored Dacia's odd behavior and stayed true to her path. She followed her sister with persistence, not taking notice to when the girl stopped. Ivy ran right into the twins fiery body, shivering with disgust when their bodies collided. A low growl ripped from Dacia's chest, her natural instincts taking over. Ivory just sat there in shock, frightened as a menacing look took over Dacia's beautiful features. The brunette took a few calming breathes, remembering that her enemy was, after all, her sister. She extended her warm hand, hoping Ivory would grasp it, but she didn't. The blond stood up without the help of the werewolf, lightly brushing the dirt off of her designer jeans.

As the sounds of the animals continued, her attention was pulled away from her vampiric sister. Her sapphire eyes scrutinized the fighting, noticing that it would probably nice of her to help her fellow brother. She shrugged, deciding it would be good practice for the future. she began sliding off her black yoga pants and her puma tennis shoes. She took off her comfortable white Paramore t-shirt, letting it fall to the ground beside her. She quickly focused her rage and energy on the wolf that was thrashing inside her. Soon, her eyes turned a menacing black as the fire inside burned her veins. The transformation was so foreign and strange to her, that it was almost painful to experience it.

Dacia's icy eyes stared at the bear with rage burning deep in her pupils. She let a menacing growl rip from her fur covered chest. The strength that resided in her legs throbbed, aching for movement. The werewolf sprinted forward towards the prey, her strides somewhat sloppy. She didn't care how ridiculous she looked, she felt free and powerful. She leaped through the air, letting her strong body collide with the bears, knocking both of them to the cold forest floor.

Ivory stood there with her mouth agape, unsure of what to do. She decided that it wouldn't be wise to join in the fighting, seeing that the two werewolves would probably mistake her as an enemy. She knew Dacia knew better, but as a wolf, she wasn't so sure. She stood back, biting down on her pale lips, eyes wide in fear.

The bear was taking up all his attention. On any other day, James would have noticed the other females behind him.

It seemed the bear was to slow, or too stupid to realise the danger he was in. The brown wolf rocketed out from know where, sending the beast to the ground. With a confused grumble, its black eyes looked from wolf to wolf. It weigh its options up. It could take on two wolf’s half it size.

James blinked at the new comer, quietly grateful for the extra support. He growled at the bear, full of renewed energy.

The female wolf seemed uncertain of her new body, James realised as he followed her awkward strides. That would make her unpredictable. Springing back into life, wincing at the pain and trouble his injury was starting to give him, James darted between the bear’s open legs. With a grunt, the bear brought down its weight, landing on all fours once again, but missed smushing the black wolf.

James sprang up, latching onto the little stub the bear called a tail. He used it at leverage to swing up, and onto the bear’s back. The bear started to blunder around, obviously confused to why James was on his back. Wasting no time, James raced to its head, and started to bite and tear at one of its ears.

Now pissed off, the bear jerked his head up, exposing his throat. Excellent. James sent the female wolf a telepathic image, telling her that while the bear’s head was lifted, she needed to go for his open throat.

Bears were hard to kill, even if you bit their throats open they would still live. The female would have to hold on for a long time, suffocation on her part would be high, but it would also affect the bear if she crushed his windpipe.

Dacia was whipped to the ground, her right side covered in dirt. She huffed, getting back up to her legs, shaking away the soreness that came with the blow. She growled, her teeth in a menacing sneer.

She was overcome by an image of what she should do as she watched the black wolf take control of the bears head. She started to feel as if she wasn't going to succeed in what he wanted, becoming self conscious of her strength. Of course, whether she did good or not didn't matter. She had to learn to be strong and running away now would be foolish. Sure she was new at this, but everyone has to learn some time right?

She stalked forward, her strides fast enough to reach the bears neck before it shook loose. She let her sharp incisors rip into its warm skin, blood oozing into her open mouth. She gripped hard into it's neck, using all of her jaw muscles to suffocate the bear. Dacia cringed away from the blood that seeped into her mouth, not liking the foreign taste and warm it presented. She shivered, nearly breaking her grip.

She focused all of her attention on bear before her, not realizing the possibility that the bear could still attack her. She was foolish in the way she lost concentration. The bear swung it's large paw up, and smacked the side of the wolves head, causing her to fall back to the ground. She breathed heavily as she tried to regain herself. Her icy blue eyes searched for the damage that she did. She took in the bite mark around the bears neck, his brown fur stained with red. It looked pained and tired.

Using all of her strength, she pulled herself back to her shaky feet. She shook her head, attempting to clear all of the cloudiness. She quickly peered at her frozen sister, and then back at the black wolf. She had no idea what more she could possibly do.

Funny thing life is. One minute you have everything, then everything is gone. Of course, the male werewolf didn't pay attention to such warnings. Even when the buzzing of those damned bees interupted his thinking. But that's not got him growling at the bear. No, it was the female werewolf that made him stare and growl at the huge beast.

It had been weeks since Luke had seen Dacia, the former human he had changed by accident into a werewolf. Luke stalked up on the bear, in his wolf form of course. Dacia and her vampire sister Ivory looked like they needed help. Hopefully, Dacia would remember the gangly-looking wolf from her past and not tear him to shreds.

Luke lept, clamping wolf jaws on the bears snout. The bear roared, and tossed him aside. Landing neatly on all four paws, he lept again, fastening his teeth on the bears forearm. He then realized that a male werewolf was there as well. 'The party has started then, eh?' He thought, reaching out mentally to Dacia. 'Can you hear me?' he thought, while still clinging to the bear.

Clinging onto the curved ear for dear life, it felt like he was riding a bucking bronco. Bear’s were tough, the female wolf had done a good job in slowing it dow-

Suddenly the grizzly lurched skywards, and his teeth slipped on the gushing blood, sending him tumbling down the course dark fur of the beast. James landed hard on his injured side, and he snarled to keep his whimper of pain at bay. What the hell?!- another wolf had joined the fray. A male, smaller and skinner than he was.

The black wolf stumbled back up, shaking his dizzy head.

He sent a flash of red at the male wolf- yeah, he was pissed at him and was happy sharing his feelings. They had to work together. The female was an inexperienced pup, and the male- James had yet to assess the new comer.

Luckily, after seeing the male hanging onto the forepaw had given birth to a new plan. Lack of words was so frustrating in wolf form.

He linked to both wolves, sending an image of the bear and the two of them keeping the front paws of the bear busy. If they could keep it distracted, James could hopefully go for the throat unharmed. At least until the bear lost interested in the two wolves and crushed him or whatever. Calmly and swiftly he sent multiple images, explaining it best he could. He then waited for confirmation. The female would probably consent to it. . the male however. One never could tell when you put two males together.

Luke growled at the image flashing in his mind. He didn't usually use mental contact, but the plan that the other male flashed in his mind seemed valid. Dropping from the bear, Luke flashed a image into the male's mind. It showed Luke and Dacia holding down the paws, while the male went for the throat. It was a good plan he decided.

Leaping again, Luke grasped the beasts right paw, ripping into it with his fangs. He felt blood gush into his mouth, and he fought the urge to vomit. Bear blood tasted nasty. He bit down even harder, the bear roaring at the sudden pain.
